Facilities:
FSU Main Campus Lab:
My recently renovated laboratory space has complete wet chemistry capabilities for sulfur and carbon isotope geochemical preparations and extractions. This includes three new fume hoods, wet-chemical benches, annealing furnace, eight nitrogen purged glass lines for sequential extraction of sulfur species, carbonate-associate-sulfate extraction set-ups, -20°C and 4°C fridge/freezer, high-speed centrifuge, two analytical balances, Milli-Q-Direct-8 (60L reservoir) water purifying system, and a SPEX 8510 Shatterbox with two alumina ceramic grinding containers.
National High Magnetic Field Laboratory:
Young Research Lab's major instrumentation installed and online May 2017.
The "Black Pearl" sets sail on the Sulfur Seas!
Dedicated gas source IRMS system to sulfur isotopic analyses: Thermo Delta V Plus with peripheral devices: Thermo EA-Isolink and Dual Inlet devices dedicated for sulfur isotopes using SO2, SO-SO2 methods. This IRMS has an extended cup configuration for simultaneous measurements 32S, 33S, & 34S isotopes. This is system is supported by a National Science Foundation–Instrumentation/Facilities Grant (EAR 037324).

Thermo Finnegan Delta Plus XP with peripheral devices: Carlo Erba Elemental Analyzer, Thermo TC/EA, and Thermo GasBench-II primarily for measurement of carbon and oxygen isotopes. (Yang Wang Research Lab)
Two separate ICP-MS systems to measure nearly all elemental concentrations (e.g., Fe, Al, I, Ca, Mo, V, Tl, Zn, Cr) in a variety of sample matrices.Additionally, the geochemistry group at the NHMFL has a Thermo Neptune multicollector ICP-MS and Thermo Finnegan MAT 262 for measuring a whole suite of radiogenic and metal isotopes.
